If you're using a PC, this process may differ slightly depending on the version of Windows you are using.
Enabling Wi-Fi on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 or 10:
- Press the Windows Key + R at the same time.
- Type ‘Control Panel’ into the Run dialogue that appears, and press OK.
- In the top right of the Control Panel open the View dropdown menu and select the Category option.
- Select Network and Internet.
- Choose Network and Sharing Center.
- From the left column chose Change adapter settings.
- Right click on your WiFi adapter (it will be called something like Wi-Fi, WAN or Wireless Network Connection), then select Enable.
Additional Steps For Windows 10:
- Right-click on the Windows Logo on the bottom left of the desktop.
- Select ‘Network Connections’.
- Click on WiFi and move the toggle switch to the ON position.
If your device does not have a Wi-Fi Adapter, there will be no Wireless Network Connection available.
Enabling WiFi on Windows XP:
- Open the Start menu.
- Select Control Panel.
- In the left side pane of the Control Panel select Switch to Category View if it is available. If this option is not available go straight to step 4.
- Select Network and Internet Connections.
- Choose Network Connections.
- Right click on your WiFi adapter (it could be called either Wi-Fi, WAN or Wireless Network Connection), and select Enable.
If your device does not have a Wi-Fi Adapter, there will be no Wireless Network Connection available.
